Charleston Church holds Blanket Drive for Local Shelters

Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church recently held a “Blanket
Drive-Thru Drop Off” to benefit those served by Roark-Sullivan Lifeway
Center. Since the winter months are upon us, the members of Simpson
Church wanted to reach out and help provide blankets during the cold
times. For 5 hours, volunteers stood in the church parking lot and
collected blankets and monetary donations from the community, offering
doughnuts and coffee in return. By the end of the drive, Simpson Church
was able to donate around 100 blankets to RSLC! Thank you to everyone
who participated and supported a great cause.
