Construction on the new Veterans Transitional Living Center is running full steam ahead. We are an estimated 90 days from project completion, with an opening date set for mid-October 2008.
Shamblin Construction received the contract for this project in May 2008 and has worked very hard to get the project to its current state. The contract amount with Shamblin Construction for a 1 story building was such that it enabled the RSLC to purchase an adjoining property to relocate its Veterans Service Center. The former Columbia Paint Store at 1015 Smith Street will be home to services for homeless veterans in our programs and the community at large.
